We’ve opened up a limited number of dates between January and May 2027 with 50% off our standard venue hire fee. Whatever you’re celebrating — a wedding, a milestone birthday, a baby shower, a christening, a corporate away-day, a Christmas-in-January office party that finally lands the date you couldn’t get in December — these dates are available at half the usual cost.
These dates are limited, hand-picked, and available on a first-come basis. Once they’re gone, they’re gone.
What You Get
Half price doesn’t mean half a venue. You still get the full Selden Barns experience:
- Exclusive use of the entire venue — no other events, no shared spaces, no other parties on site
- The Main Barn — laid out for dining, dancing, presentations or whatever your event calls for, with fairy lights, draped ceilings and a raised dance floor platform
- The walled garden and front lawn for drinks receptions, outdoor catering, or warm-weather breakouts if the weather permits!
- Three ceremony or function spaces including the indoor ceremony barn (perfect for talks, smaller gatherings or weather backup)
- On-site accommodation is available for up to 30 guests across our cottages and The Gatehouse suite at our regular price.
- Dedicated event coordinator from booking through to the day itself
- Tables, chairs, parking and full venue facilities included as standard

Weddings
Winter and spring weddings at Selden Barns have a magic that summer can’t replicate. The barn dressed in candlelight, fairy lights and seasonal greenery. Fire pits in the courtyard. Long, atmospheric evenings. Spring weddings get the first daffodils on the lawn, soft early light for photography, and a venue still quiet enough to feel entirely yours. Big Birthdays
40ths, 50ths, 60ths, 70ths and 80ths look beautiful in the Main Barn. Catered sit-down dinner, dance floor, full bar, and accommodation for the family staying over. A milestone birthday that doesn’t feel like a venue you’ve been to before.
Baby Showers and Christenings
The walled garden and Main Barn work brilliantly for daytime celebrations — afternoon tea, prosecco, games, photos. Plenty of parking, indoor and outdoor space, and somewhere for parents to escape with little ones if needed.
Corporate Events
Conferences, away-days, team training, product launches, Christmas parties, end-of-year client events. The Main Barn seats comfortably theatre-style or banquet-style, and on-site accommodation means your team can stay over and make a proper occasion of it. Why January – May?
Early in the year is one of the best-kept secrets in the events world. The barns dressed for a winter event — candlelight, fairy lights, fire pits in the courtyard, hot drinks on arrival — have an atmosphere that warmer months can’t match. Spring events (March, April, May) get the first daffodils, blossom on the trees, and a venue still quiet enough to feel completely yours.
These months simply don’t book as quickly as June through September — and rather than leave dates empty, we’d rather make them genuinely affordable for the right couples, families and companies. You get an exceptional venue at an exceptional price. We get a calendar full of events we’re excited to host.

To be transparent: the half-price offer applies to the venue hire fee only. Catering, drinks, suppliers, accommodation, decoration and any optional upgrades are priced as normal. Our caterers and trusted suppliers offer competitive packages year-round, and we’ll happily put you in touch with the right people for your event and your budget.
