I would highly recommend Selden Barns to any couple looking for a wedding venue in West Sussex. We and our guests had the most amazing day and evening at our wedding on Saturday 6 July. We met Nicky at the very beginning of our journey when she showed us around the venue and she was there with us on our special day which was wonderful, she was very kind, helpful and professional, thank you Nicky!

We booked Selden Barns for our Sales Meeting and I’m so pleased we did as we were not disappointed.  The room was perfect for our meeting and the grounds were stunning – what an idyllic location!  I would highly recommend Selden Barns as a business venue.

Selden Barns is an amazing venue, the grounds are so beautiful and it’s fantastic having the ceremony and reception all in one place. Selden is amazing regardless of the season – we got married in October and had some rain and it was still the perfect venue as there is plenty of indoor and outdoor space that is all just as lovely. We had the most incredible day, we wouldn’t have changed a thing and couldn’t have wished for it to be more perfect! All our guests had an amazing time. Having a dedicated wedding coordinator was so useful and everything went so smoothly thanks to Steph and the team who put both of us at ease at every step of the way. We both felt like we could completely enjoy the day without worrying about what was happening and where we needed to be! We would recommend Selden to anyone looking for a wedding venue!

My husband & I eloped to Gretna Green but wanted to have a wedding reception party after to celebrate with our family & friends. Nicki and her team were absolutely brilliant, from when I initially met with her to plan, to the actual night of the party. There were so many things I hadn’t thought of, thanks to Nicki nothing was forgotten about. They couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating. Ben was also great, he got a lot of things set up for us prior to the party and on the night made sure everything ran smoothly.
if we hadn’t decided on Gretna Green then we would have had our entire wedding at Selden.

We got married July 2023 and we could not recommend Selden Barns enough. Our day was everything we’d dreamed of and more. Every idea we had got brought to life by the amazing wedding planners – a big shout out to Steph who was an incredible help from start to finish. The venue is so dreamy and the grounds just beautiful. If I could do it all again I’d choose Selden Barns again in a heartbeat. 100% recommend

Just wanted to start by apologising for my delayed email, the last few days have been crazy busy and as I lay on the sun bed in Mexico I now have the time to email everyone!

On behalf of myself and Liam we would like to say a BIG thank you for making our day truly perfect and making it all run smoothly! We both had the best day from start to finish, the venue looked beautiful inside and out and I wouldn’t have changed a thing. We had so many comments about how beautiful the venue was and that a lot of people didn’t know it was there. So I’ve told everyone to spread the word!

Big thank you to Steph for all the phone calls and emails back and forth you’ll be glad not to hear from me again ha ha! You’ve been so helpful from start to finish and made my wedding journey smooth sailing!

Our perfect wedding day (May 2023)

Having viewed several potential Sussex venues, we very quickly settled on Selden Barns as the ideal place for our wedding. We were particularly drawn to it by the vast outside space, as well as the separate ceremony and reception rooms which gave the day a really nice flow. We also wanted somewhere that family and friends could stay overnight – so we took advantage of the onsite rooms for the night of the wedding.
We really did have the best day of our lives, it went exactly as had pictured it in our minds and the team at Selden pulled out all the stops on the day (particularly Steph in our case) to make sure this was the case.
We would highly recommend Selden Barns.

We booked Selden Barns quite late in the year for our Staff Christmas party after searching for a venue big enough to accommodate us all.

Selden recommended caterers and a DJ for us, and everything was just fabulous.  The venue was perfect for us, the food was delicious, and the DJ ensured the dance floor was full all evening. The staff at Selden looked after us really well and the feedback from all our staff regarding the party has been great.  A wonderful night was had by all.  I would certainly recommend Selden for a wedding or party venue.

My wife and I got married at Selden Barns just over a week ago now and we could not recommend it enough. For nearly two years we had the date booked and throughout that time Rachel and her team were fantastic. Rachel is knowledgeable, attentive and helpful and having her help plan the day took pretty much all of the stress out of it. On the day itself, everything could not have run smoother and that is all down to how they looked after us and our guests. On top of that excellent bedrooms for anybody staying the night we could not have had a better venue. Thank you Rachel and your team for everything, we will never forget it.

Our daughter and son in law got married at Selden Barnes on 10th May 2019, what a wonderful venue we had an absolutely fantastic time !nothing was to much trouble for the staff. We had the most perfect wedding at Selden Barns! Rachel is just fabulous and takes away all the stress….nothing is too much trouble. On the day the communication between the staff was excellent, managing people and timings perfectly. We wanted a day of fun and laughter and that’s exactly what we got. The new bridal suite is perfect and truly a special room. Our guests also loved their rooms and breakfast the next day was a fun and filling experience! We didn’t look at any other venues as we knew from the moment we looked around that Selden Barns was the place for us!

Incredible incredible incredible!!! We recently got married at Selden Barns on Saturday 1st December and what an amazing day!! We had SO many compliments on how amazing the venue looked and how well organised it was.

I’m a major organised freak and both Rachel and Jo made me feel so at ease (this is unusual!!) nothing was too much trouble and I felt like I could ask anything and email a million times without feeling like I was annoying them.

Selden was the first venue we saw when choosing (I think we looked at around 6 barns) and immediately I knew it was the one, we really loved that there was a completely separate ceremony room which most barns don’t have, as well as all the really reasonably priced accommodation which is incredibly handy when all the grooms family is from up North!

All the staff including the gardeners and Selden’s chef were so unbelievably friendly and made such an impression on us all, we can’t thank you all enough for making us feel like king and queen on our special day, really could not recommend you guys enough!! Xxxx

We had our wedding reception at the barns on Saturday 17th December and we could not have wished for a more perfect day. On the run-up, Rachel listened to what we wanted for our day and advised us on what would work on the day she pulled it all together to make it all run so well for us and all our guests. Simply brilliant thank you all! Xx

We fell in love with Selden as soon as we saw it, set in the most beautiful of surroundings, with lovely staff and everything you could hope for all in one place.
Rachel (the wedding organiser) was fantastic from start to finish and couldn’t do enough for us to make sure that our day went perfectly. Thank you!!
The staff and Val (the owner) were all lovely and made sure the day went without a hitch.
We would definitely recommend this venue to anyone looking for that little slice of perfection!

What you did to help us was the most amazing & beautiful thing, I really honestly can’t thank you enough, you didn’t even know Daisy but you made the final part of her journey the best ever, if she was still with us she would have been in her element!! You all felt like family on that day.

If your thinking of booking this venue, just do it! Not only is the surroundings stunning but the staff went above and beyond to make our day run smoothly, and then there is Rachel, who was there to help with anything and everything and we can’t thank her enough, followed by a breakfast with other staying guests from our wedding the next morning which finished our whole experience off beautifully, your wedding is a special day anyway but booking this venue will make it even more fantastic! I would just like to Say what an absolutely Amazing job Rachel & the Staff At Selden Barns did for my Daughter’s Wedding Day a couple of Weeks ago 😁👌🏻 The Whole Day ran so smoothly & was just a Perfect Day throughout.
