We just wanted to take a moment to express our heartfelt thanks for everything you did to make our wedding day so incredible. The venue looked absolutely stunning, and we received so many lovely compliments from our guests about what a beautiful location it was.

A special thank you to Saoirse, Nicki, and the team at breakfast the next morning, apologies, I can’t remember the names of the two gentlemen (one gentleman was particularly funny and added a lovely touch to breakfast) you were all so accommodating, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. It’s clear to see you all enjoy your work.

You all went above and beyond to make our day and the following morning so memorable, and we are so grateful for everything.

Delivered on every level.

We can’t recommend Selden Barns enough. Nicki, Ben and their team delivered on every level. From the first visit to the big day itself we were swept away by the dedication, kindness and professionalism. Nicki’s eye for detail and ability to liaise with all the different suppliers was fantastic. They ran the actual day itself like clockwork and with smiles on their faces at all times. Amazing night we had at Selden Barns

I just wanted to send a note to say what an amazing night we had at Selden Barns for the Michael Jones/Brand Vaughan staff Christmas party, the venue was beautifully decorated and the staff were friendly and efficient. From the planning to the attention to detail to make everything extra special for us and of course looking after us on the evening Nicki has been wonderful, we will definitely be back… thank you for having us.

It’s difficult to know where to start writing this, as my new wife and I had the most amazing experience working with the team at Selden barns and the venue it’s self. We utilised Selden barns for our drinks reception, wedding breakfast, evening celebrations and accommodation. We had our ceremony at a local church, however, there are two beautiful spaces to have a ceremony at Selden barns.
Nicki and her team were beyond fantastic, from greeting us from our first visit, multiple meetings during the run up, coordinating with suppliers and creating and executing the perfect timeline. All of this making our wedding run smoothly on the day. They were faultless! We couldn’t have asked for anymore.
The venue itself was beautifully laid out. A large grass area for us to have an outdoor drinks reception, with lots of shade in case it’s too hot. When it was time for confetti and our wedding breakfast, Nicki and her team expertly handled guiding our guests to exactly where they needed to be.
For the breakfast we had 12 tables plus the top table, there was space for more if we needed. There is a large bar which was utilised by all, as it was a very hot day, our guests weren’t waiting for more than a few minutes before being served drinks. There is a wide selection of soft and alcoholic drinks.
The dedicated dance floor was a big hit with our evening guests, who spent the majority of their time busting some questionable moves.
There is an outside covered seating area with heaters, if needed, which is adjacent to the dance floor with lovely seats with cushions on.
I could go on and on about the superb service we received but I’ll stop there.
We cannot thank Nicki, Ben and the other staff enough for a fantastic day. We would highly recommend this venue to anyone!

We made a great choice in choosing Selden Barns as a wedding venue.

We didn’t know about Selden Barns, but our daughter and her fiancé found it on the internet when searching for wedding venues in Sussex. We booked in for a visit and fell in love with the setting. We received a warm welcome and a helpful guided tour of the venue. We soon booked it as the venue for the wedding!
We had a series of helpful planning meetings with Selden Barns between the time of booking and the wedding day. The meetings gave us the confidence that “the big day” would go smoothly and be the special occasion it should be.

On the day of the wedding, the Selden Barns team were superb. In particular, Saoirse and Ben were fantastic. From the moment we arrived at 9 am to the time the evening event wrapped up at midnight they were on hand to make sure everything went well and, at the same time, were in no way intrusive. A perfect balance. And they even arranged for the sun to shine in October!
I have no hesitation in recommending Selden Barns as a wedding venue. The setting, the facilities and the team were perfect. Thank you for your key role in what was a wonderful occasion.

fantastic venue and staff

Nicki and her team were absolutely amazing from the first viewing to the last minute of our wedding day. offering guidance through the whole process. from a very relaxed bride who had a very laid back attitude nicki and her team still made sure we had everything we needed and more. the venue itself is beautiful and well spaced with plenty of room but also spaced perfectly for a smaller ceremony and guests. we loved every second of our weekend there. also if you’re staying over night the breakfast was superb food was fresh including fruit with unlimited tea coffee and soft drinks. definitely a venue to consider for your perfect day

Amazing place

We couldn’t be more grateful to celebrate our wedding in this venue. From the first moment we saw it, we fell in love with it. This venue offers everything you could want—ceremonies indoors or outdoors in the fresh air, rooms to stay in after the festivities, and simply a fantastic reception room. The small lights played big role in the decoration. You don’t need large decorations to make this place the best for your wedding.

The surroundings of the venue are like a fairy tale—fresh air, hills, horses, and meadows are something special that will stay in our hearts forever.

The venue offers rooms for the bride and groom to dress and prepare for the big day.

Our biggest thanks go to Nicki, Saoirse, and Ben. From the first communication to the end of the big day, all these people were wonderful. All our questions were answered, we were kept informed throughout, and everything was explained. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

An absolutely incredible venu

My partner and I got engaged in 2021 and started looking for venues towards the end of the year for a 2024 wedding. As soon as we started touring Selden Barns, we knew it was the one. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and so well maintained, and the fact that everything is all on one site makes it so much easier to have a good flow to the day. I worked closely with Nicki and Saorise on site who ensured over several planning meetings that the day would run smoothly. They asked me things we hadn’t even thought about such as what order will the bridesmaids go down the aisle that meant it was truly a day that my husband and I designed. On the wedding day, we literally had to do nothing besides relax and get married as Selden Barns handles everything! The staff are kind, attentive and found no request too small to incorporate. My wedding party was incredibly lucky there was not a wedding the day prior and were able to set up for the wedding the day before and the venue was so great at ensuring even that ran smoothly. For those guests and ourselves who stayed onsite overnight, the breakfast prepared by chef Andy of breakfast sandwiches, pastries, cereal and yogurts was exactly what we needed to get our energy back. He helped us all feel so welcome and connected personally with so many of the guests with his humour and conversation. Every guest I spoke to mentioned how the site was amazing, and we would definitely recommend this venue.

Highly recommend Selden Barns

I would highly recommend Selden Barns to any couple looking for a wedding venue in West Sussex. We and our guests had the most amazing day and evening at our wedding on Saturday 6 July. Amazing wedding venue

Selden Barns is an amazing venue, the grounds are so beautiful and it’s fantastic having the ceremony and reception all in one place. Selden is amazing regardless of the season – we got married in October and had some rain and it was still the perfect venue as there is plenty of indoor and outdoor space that is all just as lovely. We had the most incredible day, we wouldn’t have changed a thing and couldn’t have wished for it to be more perfect! All our guests had an amazing time. Having a dedicated wedding coordinator was so useful and everything went so smoothly thanks to Steph and the team who put both of us at ease at every step of the way. We both felt like we could completely enjoy the day without worrying about what was happening and where we needed to be! We would recommend Selden to anyone looking for a wedding venue!

Amazing venue

My husband & I eloped to Gretna Green but wanted to have a wedding reception party after to celebrate with our family & friends. Nicki and her team were absolutely brilliant, from when I initially met with her to plan, to the actual night of the party. There were so many things I hadn’t thought of, thanks to Nicki nothing was forgotten about. They couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating. Ben was also great, he got a lot of things set up for us prior to the party and on the night made sure everything ran smoothly.if we hadn’t decided on Gretna Green then we would have had our entire wedding at Selden.

could not recommend Selden Barns enough

We got married July 2023 and we could not recommend Selden Barns enough. Our day was everything we’d dreamed of and more. Every idea we had got brought to life by the amazing wedding planners – a big shout out to Steph who was an incredible help from start to finish. The venue is so dreamy and the grounds just beautiful. If I could do it all again I’d choose Selden Barns again in a heartbeat. 100% recommend

Just wanted to start by apologising for my delayed email, the last few days have been crazy busy and as I lay on the sun bed in Mexico I now have the time to email everyone!

On behalf of myself and Liam we would like to say a BIG thank you for making our day truly perfect and making it all run smoothly! We both had the best day from start to finish, the venue looked beautiful inside and out and I wouldn’t have changed a thing. Selden pulled out all the stops on the day

Our perfect wedding day (May 2023)

Having viewed several potential Sussex venues, we very quickly settled on Selden Barns as the ideal place for our wedding. We were particularly drawn to it by the vast outside space, as well as the separate ceremony and reception rooms which gave the day a really nice flow. We also wanted somewhere that family and friends could stay overnight – so we took advantage of the onsite rooms for the night of the wedding.We really did have the best day of our lives, it went exactly as had pictured it in our minds and the team at Selden pulled out all the stops on the day (particularly Steph in our case) to make sure this was the case.We would highly recommend Selden Barns.

Christmas Party

We booked Selden Barns quite late in the year for our Staff Christmas party after searching for a venue big enough to accommodate us all.

Selden recommended caterers and a DJ for us, and everything was just fabulous. The venue was perfect for us, the food was delicious, and the DJ ensured the dance floor was full all evening. The staff at Selden looked after us really well and the feedback from all our staff regarding the party has been great. A wonderful night was had by all. I would certainly recommend Selden for a wedding or party venue.

My wife and I got married at Selden Barns just over a week ago now and we could not recommend it enough. For nearly two years we had the date booked and throughout that time Rachel and her team were fantastic. Rachel is knowledgeable, attentive and helpful and having her help plan the day took pretty much all of the stress out of it. On the day itself, everything could not have run smoother and that is all down to how they looked after us and our guests. The most perfect wedding at Selden Barns!

We had the most perfect wedding at Selden Barns! Rachel is just fabulous and takes away all the stress….nothing is too much trouble. On the day the communication between the staff was excellent, managing people and timings perfectly. We wanted a day of fun and laughter and that’s exactly what we got. The new bridal suite is perfect and truly a special room. Our guests also loved their rooms and breakfast the next day was a fun and filling experience! We didn’t look at any other venues as we knew from the moment we looked around that Selden Barns was the place for us!

Incredible incredible incredible!!! We recently got married at Selden Barns on Saturday 1st December and what an amazing day!! We had SO many compliments on how amazing the venue looked and how well organised it was.

I’m a major organised freak and both Rachel and Jo made me feel so at ease (this is unusual!!) nothing was too much trouble and I felt like I could ask anything and email a million times without feeling like I was annoying them.

Selden was the first venue we saw when choosing (I think we looked at around 6 barns) and immediately I knew it was the one, we really loved that there was a completely separate ceremony room which most barns don’t have, as well as all the really reasonably priced accommodation which is incredibly handy when all the grooms family is from up North!

All the staff including the gardeners and Selden’s chef were so unbelievably friendly and made such an impression on us all, we can’t thank you all enough for making us feel like king and queen on our special day, really could not recommend you guys enough!! Xxxx

We fell in love with Selden as soon as we saw it, set in the most beautiful of surroundings, with lovely staff and everything you could hope for all in one place.
